When most people in the United States think of Africa, they imagine tall grass, exotic animals, and senseless violence. We only hear one side of Africa's story. That single story generates stereotypes - and the problem is not that they're untrue, but that they're incomplete.

They make one story become the only story.

Africa is more than that story. It is proud. It is beautiful. It has a history, stories, songs and people even more colorful and rich than its landscapes.

And it's important to recognize and celebrate "the other" Africa. This photo-series is set in Paynes Prarie, mimicking the landscape most people associate with Africa, with two gorgeous models in traditional, cultural wear of Nigeria and Cameroon.
